Lake Kremasta is the largest artificial lake in Greece. It was formed in the 1960s following the construction of the dam and the hydroelectric plant of Kremasta. The bottom of the lake hides houses of earlier villages. The lake is constantly fed by the rivers Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropos and Trikeriotis. It is situated along the border of the regional units of Evrytania and Aetolia-Acarnania, which are connected by the Episkopi Bridge.
